Full Description:
The Third Annual Paint Out sponsored by the Gallery of Local Art is scheduled for April 1-8 with winners announced on Friday, April 9 at the gallery. Plein air artists will paint scenes within the city limits of Flagler Beach and exhibit final renderings at the gallery on S. Central Avenue in Flagler Beach. Curator Audrey Scherr hopes that artists will come to the area and explore the venue from the intercoastal waterway to the ocean in conjunction with the 85th birthday of Flagler Beach. Audrey invites the public to watch the creative process as it takes place and see artists’ visions of Flagler Beach come to life.
One of the works will be selected for the cover of Destination Flagler. Prizes will be awarded at a public reception on Friday April 9 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Gallery of Local Art.
Artists participating in the paint out during the week will be identified with a GOLA name tag. The public is invited to watch the artists as they work. Works will be on exhibit for the month of April at the gallery.
