Full Description:

It's time for kids and teachers to head back to the classroom and you can help them prepare. AT&T is joining forces with the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations (www.cfef.net) to collect back-to-school supplies for public school students and teachers in West, Central and North Florida. Approximately 100 AT&T-owned stores, including those in Flagler, St. Johns, Volusia, and Brevard counties, as well as participating AT&T authorized dealers, will serve as collection locations for the supply drive, which runs July 31-August 23. All supplies donated in your county will be redistributed to public schools in your area.

“A big part of our commitment to strengthening our communities involves advancing education and improving lives,” said Jennifer Van Buskirk, vice president and general manager, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets, North, Central and West Florida. “This effort helps us to accomplish both.”

All school supplies needed. Suggestions include:
·   &nbsp;     #2 Pencils

The Consortium of Florida Education Foundations will help distribute the supplies collected at AT&T stores. The Consortium is the professional association for the local county education foundations that serve the 2.6 million public school students and 295,000 educators throughout Florida’s 67 counties.

“We’re excited to have a company like AT&T that has such a large presence in the community helping with such an important cause,” said Mary Chance, executive director, the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations. “If it wasn’t for community efforts like this one, many local students wouldn’t have the supplies they need to start school.”

AT&T also is helping customers with back-to-school shopping by providing a $30 Staples gift card with two-year activations and upgrades on LG handsets. The promotion runs July 31-August 23. See store for details.
