SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR ARBOR DAY
Full Description:
The entire community is invited to enjoy a truly special Arbor Day celebration on Saturday, May 2nd. From 9:00 a.m. to noon, the City of Palm Coast will host a festive, earth-friendly event in Central Park at Town Center. Giveaways include free three-gallon trees and free Arbor Day t-shirts (while quantities last). Live entertainment, refreshments, children's activities, guest speakers and vendors will give visitors lots of fun ways to engage in ecological activities in the City's beautiful Town Center venue. Electronics recycling will also be available. Plan to stay for an inspiring native butterfly release, scheduled to begin promptly at noon.
Central Park in Town Center is located east of the Town Center Publix Shopping Center at Belle Terre Parkway and Easthampton Drive. You can also reach the Arbor Day event off of SR 100, north on Bulldog Drive. For additional information, please log on to the City's website at www.ci.palm-coast.fl.us and click on the front page Arbor Day link. You may also contact Carol Bennett, Urban Forester for the City of Palm Coast at 386-986-3722.
